Equipment collaborated with Tabitha Simmons on a capsule collection of 21 pieces of ready-to-wear and women’s shoes for the Holiday 2018.

By combining the insightful look and cult design of Tabitha Simmons footwear with iconic and timeless equipment ready-to-wear garments, the limited-edition Equipment x Tabitha Simmons collaboration refers to nightlife and club culture 90s and echoes of romance.

The result is a complete wardrobe offer, pereftta for the Holiday season and beyond. The 17 pieces of clothing include dresses and blouses in English Country floral prints, complete with tailor-made jackets and rock print pants with rock-and-roll mood and suits inspired by the classic menswear in velvet and wool check Prncipe of Wales. All looks are complemented by 3 models of shoes: a flat model in suede with hidden buttons and proposed in a two-tone rose, ankle-high ankle boots and an elegant mule model with a jacquard silk heel.

The idea of ​​the collaboration came after joining the group of Sarah Rutson, Equipment Chief Brand Officer, who recognized the numerous synergies between the two brands. Sarah Rutson had known and worked professionally with Tabitha Simmons and her eponymous shoe line since its launch in 2009 and long appreciated the floral prints for which Tabitha is known and her unique way of mixing English eccentricity with a sense of sophistication, like a woman who has lived in London and New York. Sarah understood that this would work perfectly for Equipment and as a complement to the evolution that the brand is carrying out. From here the collaboration has flourished.

“Working with Tabitha was a real joy, and working together was effortless – just like the collection – our women are pretty similar,” says Sarah Rutson. “When we met to discuss the inspiration of design, it was wonderful to discover that we both had many of the same reference photos on our mood boards – British women like Charlotte Rampling, with sensibilities from the classic French style, beautiful and feminine, with an urban touch We have been in agreement since the beginning and the capsule collection has a truly authentic spirit, a natural evolution of our main collection. “
 

“I’m really excited to partner with Equipment, their silk shirts have long been a key focus of my wardrobe,” says Tabitha Simmons. “It was incredibly exciting to design prêt-à-porter for the first time, I wanted to create a relaxed look, complementary to prints and a cool mood, a hallmark of the brand’s aesthetic.”

L’idea della collaborazione è nata dopo l’ingresso nel gruppo di Sarah Rutson, Chief Brand Officer di Equipment, che ha riconosciuto le numerose sinergie tra i due marchi. Sarah Rutson aveva conosciuto e lavorato professionalmente con Tabitha Simmons e la sua omonima linea di scarpe sin dal suo lancio nel 2009 e apprezzava da tempo le stampe floreali per le quali Tabitha è nota e il suo modo unico di mescolare l’eccentricità inglese con un senso di ricercatezza, come una donna che ha vissuto a Londra e New York. Sarah ha capito che questo avrebbe funzionato perfettamente per Equipment e come complemento all’evoluzione che il marchio sta portando avanti. Da qui è fiorita la collaborazione.

“Collaborare con Tabitha è stata una vera gioia, e lavorare insieme è stato senza sforzo – proprio come la collezione.
