Dior’s Spring-Summer 2019 ready-to-wear collection had fascinated audience with a stunning runway dance performance and show at the first day of Paris Fashion Week. Make-up created by Peter Philips, got especially big attention because of a natural make-up look with an emphasis on eyes. For this collection Israeli artist Sharon Eyal was asked to choreograph the runaway show. This dance performance lasted whole duration of show while models were walking on the runway.
“This aesthetic choice prompted me to create a pure, natural make-up look, where emphasis was placed only on the eyes. And for a few of the models I also took inspiration from Sharon Eyal’s unusual eye make-up”, – said creative and imagine director for Dior make-up.
EYES
For this collection two looks were created.
First one was made-up with a line of Diorshow Khôl in black, applied to the waterline of the lower lash line but which also ran over a bit in some places. Also the eyebrows were defined without accentuating them too much with Diorshow Brown Styler and Diorshow Bold Brown.
Second look inspired by Sharon Eyal’s own make-up. This design was drawn on the temples using broad strokes of Diorshow Pro Liner Waterproof in black and Anthracite and described as a creative gesture.
