Creative and image director for Dior Peter Philips created a natural make-up look using products almost exclusively from the Dior backstage line for AW 18/19 haute couture collection, by Maria Grazia Chiuri.

“Dior backstage is a line for which I redesigned all the key items in the make-up bag. With 40 shades of Dior backstage face and body foundation, i’ve got 16 levels of intensity across 6 skin tones, so that I can adapt it to every complexion precisely.”

EYES

“Eyes were given a hint of emphasis with Dior backstage eye palette n° 001 warm neutrals. For light skin tones Iused the softest shades – shimmer pink and matte pink – which subtly ‘open’ the eyes. On darker skin tones I used ombré sculpting powder, shimmer purple and matte plum. Eyebrows were discreet, but defined and shaped with Diorshow brow styler and Dior backstage brow palette.”

LIPS

“Dior backstage lip palette n°001 universal neutrals was used on lips. Depending on skin tone I chose either gloss pink, gloss beige, or gloss blush for discreet and transparent plump lips.”

HAIR

Guido Palau styled hair in long cylindrical ponytails tied low at the nape, with elastics criss-crossed throughout the lengths.
