FENDI launches an international project in honor of one of the Maison’s most iconic creations: the Peekaboo bag, which this year celebrates 10 years. The protagonists of the campaign, which includes a video and special images, are Silvia Venturini Fendi, artistic director of the collections for men, accessories and children, and daughters Delfina Delettrez Fendi and Leonetta Luciano Fendi.
Silvia Venturini Fendi has transmitted her love for Peekaboo to her daughters, and so was born the idea of present them and interview them in the video with their favorite Peekaboo. The three protagonists tell the story of an intimate and personal relationship with Peekaboo, starting with Silvia who states: “Peekaboo bag is simple, complex and timeless. It is one of those objects that belong to the family, and that accompany us throughout life “. According to Leonetta, “the Peekaboo is versatile, because it represents all my moods. It is also full of surprises: I put it in a compartment the objects that everyone can see, in the other the things that I do not want to show off “. Delfina, on the other hand, she interprets it in a very personal way: “Peekaboo is mysterious, precious as it is a jewel, and classic, and is transmitted from generation to generation. “
Silvia Venturini Fendi was filmed in a very exceptional way with her team, which she shines through the creative energy, inside the Palazzo della Civiltà Italiana, FENDI headquarters since 2015, while Delfina and Leonetta were filmed in Palazzo FENDI and in other places in the capital at the Maison, to strengthen the personal connection with the city. The video presents all the members of the Peekaboo family: Large, Regular, Mini, Micro Peekaboo, Peekaboo Essential and Essentially, showing the many facets of the iconic bag. Ever from the birth of Peekaboo, during the Spring / Summer 2009 fashion show, Silvia Venturini Fendi has combined the know-how and limitless creativity of the Maison with the search for materials and high quality details, giving life to endless versions of the Peekaboo that – each with its own peculiarities – perfectly embody the versatile and classic nature of a bag that will continue to be ennobled, reinterpreted and declined, from season to season, one collection after another.
