From March 19 to 23, the 28th Latvian Fashion Week took place it the largest city in the three Baltic states – Riga. From the Baltic states to Ukraine or Italy – designers came to show the new Autumn–Winter 2018/2019 pret–a–porter collections. We flew all the way to Riga and will try our best to pass on the Riga’s Fashion Week atmosphere! So, take a look below, we prepared you a list of designers that inspired us a lot!

Public Makes Image

Laser show in the beginning, lots of warning alert signs, bold colours and dance moves while catwalking down the runway? Impossible to go wrong – it’s PUBLIC MAKES IMAGE! According to the Latvian brand founders, the word Public is delivering a message that they are open, public, available for everyone without restrictions. Their presented collection “Dark Survivor” was all about the urban lifestyle taking the inspiration from Amsterdam and other cities.

NÓLÓ

Can you imagine the era of IT translated through the fashion show? Because Latvian brand NÓLÓ easily does that. Crazy and exclusive models’ catwalk, bold makeup and hairstyle choices, the accessories of IT – computer mouses and laptops instead of the bags! The brand itself is made for modern city dwellers who insists on comfort. Brand designer is a two-time winner of “Designer of the Year” at the Latvian Fashion Awards (2015&2016).

Anna K

What if we would call it as a crypto-inspired collection? From Paris to Kiev and then heading straight to Riga in Latvia’s Fashion Week – 22 years old Ukrainian fashion designer Anna Karenina sets above and beyond – she made Forbes’s “30 Under 30 Europe” list! The presented collection was full of youthful spirit, fashion coins and cryptocurrency vibes. Hard not to mention – the designer hit the catwalk by herself!

Thank you Riga for having ZOEMAGAZINE!
