In a new project to celebrate the new Gommino Jeans, TOD’S and CAPPELLINI are renewing their historic collaboration with “Unexpected Icons”. An experiment that makes daring use of unexpected materials to create original alchemies. Denim for the iconic Gommino instead of prestige skins enables stitching to create new shapes in absolute freedom. And racing bike frames for Cappellini’s historic Acciaio Lounge and Acciaio Stool, which acquire a new lightness. This experimentation with lightweight materials and the surfing atmosphere created to present them provides a clear idea of the project’s philosophy.
Tod’s Gommino Jeans puts its unmistakable imprint on Cappellini seating to tell a summer story about the unmistakable style of two timeless icons.  This unexpected encounter between two leading design exponents will take place during a cocktail party on Tuesday, April 17th at Tod’s boutique in Via Spiga, Milan.
