The Autumn Winter collection 2018-2019 of the brand CHUPRINA has been presented at the Ukrainian Fashion Week. The collection called Femmina is completely addressed to women. It shows the character of a woman who can show restraint, cold and self- control or vice versa – warmth, tenderness and passion. The collection Femmina, directed to all women from 25 to 55 years old, is elegant and sometimes even characterized by extravagant clothes with grunge elements. Women’s energy, as ability to change the order of things and transform the world, is reflected by the author’s print conceived by the fashion designer Daria Chuprina together with the design studio Playdesign. This is a surreal pattern in which everyone can find associations with different elements: fire or ice.
The collection Femmina uses a palette from creamy to chocolate and from blue to dark blue. The materials used, such as silk, cashmere, cotton and natural fur, helped to create a complex and new design using time-tested effects. The giant knitting is combined with a fine silk; the volume denim jackets with décor are in contrast with the flying skirts and dresses. The concept of the collection was highlighted by a video clip, which the team of the Fashion House CHUPRINA created specifically for the broadcast at the beginning of the show of the Ukrainian Fashion Week. This video shows one woman in three different periods of her life: youth, maturity and old age.
The model, stylist and DJ – Olimpia Whitemustache, and the famous 70 years old Ukrainian model – Galina Gerasimova, helped to create the image. Furthermore, the video surprised the guests of the show by the unique effects, which took several days of shooting and a delicate post-production. In particular, the promo clip shows how an ice sculpture in the form of an hourglass melts and as a result is transformed into a CHUPRINA logo.
On the podium, the audience was most pleased by the corsets dressed over the outer clothing and forage caps. At the end of the show, the audience received another surprise: the TV presenter and the chief director of the well-known CIS TV show Heads &Tails, Zhenya Sinelnikov, appeared on the podium. After the show, the designer Daria Chuprina and Zhenya reported that in the new season “Heads and Tails, Sea Season”, the female TV presenter will be dressed only in CHUPRINA clothes!
