Once upon a time… No, no, this time not this story!

„Once upon a Holiday” in the magical New York City was a store Saks Fifth Avenue. The building was looking like a big palace..

And there was living a girl who had skin white as snow, lips red as blood, and hair black as ebony and her name was Snow White. In that kingdom resided also beautiful, but cruel Quenn who was her step-mother and practiced a dark magic. She possessed a magical mirror and every day she asked „Mirror, mirror on the wall, who’s the fairest of them all?”

And the answer was “Thou, O Queen, art the fairest of all.”

Unfortunately someday the response of the mirror was other „You, my queen, are fair; it is true. But Snow White is even fairer than you.” And Quenn began to hate little Princess. Snow White escaped to the forest and found a shelter in the house of the Seven Dwarfs.

How is looking the course of of that tale know all of us from the childhood.

But one winter day (in 2017) Saks Fifth Avenue decided to celebrate 80th anniversary of the film „Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs”. It became a modern tradition that store delights withe their exposition which began to be the important part of the coming Christmas. This frozen time display is called „Once upon a Holiday” and present a moving scenes from the story of Snow White [movie with all windows above].

Now it came to pass that this lovely story has also a second, interesting and maybe also „fairer”(it’s hard to compare) aspect? Four fabulous designers Monique Lhuillier, Marchesa, Naeem Khan and Alberta Ferretti have created the custom gowns inspired by Snow White that are fit for a fairytale. In luxury dresses you can become to be Princess in 21st century.

This festal and fabulously charming exposition in Saks Fifth Avenue windows animation and light show will be till January 2, 2018.
