Louis Vuitton: Volez, Voguez, Voyagez

In New York opened to the public the show “Volez, Voguez, Voyagez” in the unreleased historic seat of the American Stock Exchange.

The performance that is curated by Olivier Saillard, follows the great Louis Vuitton journey from 1854 to the present, through the archives of the founding members of the family and the contributions of those who made Louis Vuitton today’s home.

“Louis Vuitton has always been at the cutting edge of creation and innovation, today as well as more than a hundred years ago. By constantly taking inspiration from our past, we are creating today’s trends. Olivier Saillard plunged into the Louis Vuitton archives to decode the secrets. In this way it can give a fresh view of the past, the present and the future “

says Michael Burke, CEO of Louis Vuitton.

Robert Carsen, art director and set designer divided this show into ten chapters. Opening with the most symbolic object of the Maison: an antique contemporary skirt featuring iconic distinctive features and the lively spirit of Louis Vuitton. The last part is entirely devoted to the story linking Louis Vuitton to the United States and New York.

Scott Fitzgerald were among the most well known in the long list. Subsequently, another milestone to the relationship between Louis Vuitton and the United States added through collaborations with contemporary artists such as Stephen Sprouse and Jeff Koons.

The show was celebrated with a cocktail hosted by Bernard Arnault, LVMH president and CEO and Michael Burke, Louis Vuitton’s president and CEO, in the presence of Alicia Vikander, Jennifer Connelly, Michelle Williams, Léa Seydoux, Jaden Smith, Adèle Exarchopoulos, Zendaya, Ruth Negga, Riley Keough, Laura Harrier, Justin Theroux, Alexander Skarsgard, Pom Klementieff and Marina Foïs, among other guests.
