A “baby brand” with unusual name ALANUI, what means “large path”, became not just a travelers love and perfect companion, but, also, a boho girls MUST HAVE wear. According to designers Nicolo and Carlotta Oddi “ it is a lifetime piece that can follow you in all your experiences and journeys. It is kind of a “Linus blanket” that grows and connects with you, even emotionally.”
Today a debut “ALANUI x Colette” collaboration is a tribute to famous Parisian store. For their very first capsule collection, the designers collaborated with Colette to produce a line of extra-large cashmere cardigans, featuring hand-embroidered Native American patterns and motifs, all of which are finished with the concept stores signature blue.
The capsule collection consists of three oversized iconic ALANUI cashmere cardigans, made in Italy. The Icon and the New Icon models made of jacquard motifs that pay homage to Native American iconography and culture, and the Bandana, a precious cardigan enriched with embroideries made by hand following the maxi paisley of foulard made in the US. All models are featured with the distinctive colors of the famous store.
Another exclusive dedication to the magical world of Colette is the launch of “ALANUI Kids”, the first product of the brand for children and conceived with the intent of exalting even the style of the little ones. The three baby cardigans are available in two sizes, made with the same materials and motifs for adult models.
“We are proud of this new important stage in ALANUI’s journey. For us, collectors have always been a point of reference in the fashion scene and it’s a real honor to have made a collection for this unique shop. Sarah has supported us since the beginning of our journey and we are grateful to present here both our first collaboration and our first “ALANUI kids” proposal. We thought to dedicate our ‘cuddle cashmere’ to the little ones too because coming in from Colette is almost like going into an enchanting world of fairy tales and embarking on a dream holiday,” said Nicolò and Carlotta Oddi, founders of ALANUI.
The collaboration between the Parisian store and the talented Italian brand is also sealed by the artwork packaging dedicated to this precious capsule: from the exclusive wrapped tag to the box produced by hand with a homage to the representative color of the well-known store.
“The first time I saw someone wearing a boss ALANUI I immediately thought “What is it? Where does it come from? How can I order it? “I immediately thought it was something unique, something that could give comfort, security, and warmth. We are really excited to present this collaboration and we are grateful to Nicolò and Carlotta for having created the first Kids collection for us” says Sarah Andelman, Founder and Creative Director of Colette.
The ALANUI x Colette collection will be on sale at the Parisian store from October 23rd to October 30th and will also be available online on October 23rd for a month.
