Jacquemus: L’amour d’un gitan
The new JACQUEMUS campaign for the Fall/Winter 2017 collection is about a woman, a Parisian woman, a woman in love with a Gypsy. She looked more or less like that « l’amour d’un gitan ».Shooted by David Luraschi and directed by Simon Porte Jacquemus in Camargue (France).
« I would like to create a timeless image of 2 people kissing themselves without clothes, accessories only their bodies on a chair under a parasol » “The first designer i met was Christian Lacroix. I was 17 years old and i met a cameraman in my village in the south of France, who, by chance, was going to film him the following day. I jumped at the opportunity; the next day i left for Arles. Christian Lacroix remembered his friendship with my uncle, Pierre Schull, a great toreador of the 50’s, and offered some advice in the spur of the moment. Pierre Schull is the uncle you mention at sunday family meals, friends of Lucien Clergue, Picasso and so many others who fascinate and inspire me today. In my room behind the wisteria, i began to imagine a woman, a parisian woman, a woman in love with a gypsy. she looked more or less like that.” said Simon.
