Ellery Resort 2018 Collection

The parents of a close friend of Ellery inspired the Resort’18 collection. They were a conservative duo that on the weekend would moonlight as cowboys. This intriguing double life became the center of the collection, which combines the brand’s signature DNA with a western sensibility.

Both flamboyant and masculine tailoring sit alongside romantic ruffles, drawstring features and gathered ruching. Classic suits have been westernized with piping detail and the season’s coats finish at elegant lengths.

Lustrous beaver striped velvet, striped silk taffeta, slick ponte pvc and French lace are combined inventively to create both texture and volume. Italian v-neck lurex knits bring a fresh modern feeling whilst buttery leather is soft to touch yet tough in look.

The floral prints are inspired by the idea of a Texan ‘sitting room’, one filled with vintage upholstery and so incorporate the state’s infamous yellow rose.

The jewellery collection is playful and borrows from antique teapots and art deco furniture.

A sunny, citrus color palette travels from burnt orange to yellow finishing on a memorable vibrant green yet still sits alongside a traditionally Ellery monochromatic background. The growing shoe collection offers delicate pointed Chelsea boots with baby blue perpex heel, rainbow water snake ankle boots, crystal studded loafers and pointed sling back court shoes.

The Resort ’18 collection is modern yet also unveils a tough and confident edge. Growing from a Texan rose into a rifle-bearing trouble maker, the ELLERY woman unveils the complex layers of her personality whilst always having a good time.
