All you need to know about Fendi resort 2018

A contagious joie de vivre. For its Resort 2018 Collection, FENDI embraces a playful, irreverent approach to break the boundaries among fixed categories.

A new fashion vocabulary is established. Ironic and witty, it mixes and matches elements of the tradition to exalt the most authentic spirit of the FENDI DNA – luxurious and unconventional.

The masculine meets the feminine, the rigid is combined with the soft. Frisky juxtapositions of contrasting elements define an upscale wardrobe, which is utterly sophisticated in its metropolitan modernity.

A Pop explosion updates the men’s tailoring world. Classic masculine patterns, such as Prince of Wales, checks, chevron and argyle, are magnified and rendered in flamboyant tones. They include the eye-catching pink shade of an outstanding leather and mink intarsia prince of wales coat and of a checkered wool suit. Showcasing FENDI’s artisanal quality, a Prince of Wales motif is unexpectedly printed on a shearling double-breasted overcoat embellished with yellow mink cuffs.

A colourful energy runs through the collection. It also emerges in the delicate, romantic blossoming garden of exquisite floral prints, embroideries and jacquards. Daisies punctuate the eyelet cotton dresses in bold tones. Bright orange details pop up on the new “bomber cape” matched with a coordinated flounce skirt. Flowering branches appear as intarsia on a precious Persian lamb and mink coat.

The ordinary is banned. The hyper-classic ribbons and pearls are introduced in an extra-ordinary way. They become a trendy emblem on the back of a mink fur bomber jacket, trimmed with ribbed knit showing the FENDI Roma logo, for a touch of Insta-friendly sporty coolness. Ribbons and pearls also soften the elegant rigor of a cape layered on a coated organza and decorated with a painted-like motif.

The Ready-to-Wear’s signature elements invade also all the other categories.

Ribbons and pearls appear across the whole bag and accessory offering, from the newly introduced Mon Trésor mini bucket to the Back To School, Double Baguette and Kan I styles as well as Strap You and choker necklaces. The Kan I Logo bag is embellished with the new rounded metallic F is FENDI logo – nicknamed F en Folie by Karl Lagerfeld because of its unexpected upside-down position – also decorating earrings and the new functional wallet-pouch designed to carry a range of personal belongings, including the mobile phone. Multicolour micro daisies blossom on the Triplette triple-pouch, while the Runaway bag is presented in a straw version embroidered with the FF – Fun FENDI logo pattern. The Fun FENDI logo also appears on a luxurious “carpet” embroidered Mini Strap You that decorates the new rectangular, cross-body FENDI Cam bag. The house’s iconic Peekaboo bag is realized with an over-the-top range of exotic skins, including python and a variation combining crocodile and wood. FENDI Fruits fur charms in pop tones, including the new juicy cherry shape, complete the accessories offer for an additional fun touch.

Pointed boots take center stage in the Shoes collection. Designed to resemble tights, the sensual shoes, – available both in a over-the-knee and ankle version, – combine perforated, super soft leather with a see-through, stretch material. A ribbed knit detail introduce a cool, sporty touch. Leather pumps with inlaid socks coming in neutral tones are peppered by coloured points in bright tones of orange, sky blue and pink. The iconic Rockoko shoes, both in the bootie and sneaker shapes, are presented in new flashy colours such a pink and green, with a fancy black version embellished with ribbons and pearls that decorate flats and sandals too.
