Vestiaire collective launch a new charity sale with Toni Garrn
Have you ever wondered what’s in the supermodel wardrobe? Now you will have the opportunity. The international and philanthropic model Toni Garrn has opened up his wardrobe and has decided to collaborate exclusively with Vestiaire Collective giving Vestiaire users the opportunity to buy some of his finest garments. The model has also involved in this collaboration her closest friends with the aim of raising funds in favor of her Foundation, which aims to give young Zimbabwean girls the opportunity to have an education in a safe and laid back context. The goal is to make a breakthrough in the lives of as many girls as possible.
The project envisions the opening of a number of pop-up stores in several European cities to reproduce the winning formula of the “Successful Flea Market” in New York, which in the last two years has been collecting donations of characters of the likes of Gisele Bundchen , Karlie Kloss, Jourdan Dunn and many more.
Returning recently from a trip to Africa on behalf of his foundation, Toni commented on this initiative: “I am very pleased to be able to develop this project and above all to bring it to Europe thanks to the support of Vestiaire Collective. Ours is a perfect partnership in every respect and will allow us to sell some of the most beloved bosses, both of mine, of my friends, in the pop up stores and on the vestiairecollective.com site, and all this in support of my Foundation. ”
The collaboration between Vestiaire Collective, the leading online platform for pre-loved fashion and luxury, and Toni Garrn, was announced during a luncheon at the Carlton Hotel in Cannes on May 24th, attended by major guests Super models, including Australian model Jessica Hart, English designer Ozwald Boateng, Dutch model Daphne Groeneveld, American model Angela Lindvall, Chinese model Liu Wen and Eva Cavalli.
On the occasion of this event, the famous English designer Bella Freud has designed a limited edition t-shirt featuring “GIRL EMPOWER” that will be sold exclusively online on vestiairecollective.com as well as in the pop-up store. Bella said, “You always have to use your heart in everything you do, young people will be the leaders of the future.”
The Toni Garrn Foundation will receive the full amount of what will come from sales in the pop-up store and online at vestiairecollective.com – fashion never ceases to give!
