Pirelli chooses Tim Walker for the Cal 2018

British, born in 1970, Tim Walker began his career at Condé Nast, where, collaborating on the creation of the Cecil Beaton photographic archives, he discovered his passion for photography and, over the years, established himself as one of the best known and original photographers in the world of fashion and beyond.

He will be the author of the 2018 Pirelli Calendar to be shot in the coming weeks in London, where Walker lives. Ahead of the official launch of the next ‘Cal’, which will take place in November as usual, no details will emerge about his interpretation of the new Pirelli Calendar, after Peter Lindbergh’s for 2017, but what is certain is that Walker is known for the absolute originality of his sets, which have often seen him described as “dream like” and “surreal”.
