Haute Couture ss17 choose the mirrors

This time we do not speak of a trend linked to tissue or forms or accessories. It is setting up to be the main characters and to follow a common denominator: the mirrors. The idea to crystallize the reality through its reflection has always attracted the imagination of artists and writers from Lewis Carroll to Escher. Louis XIV also had an ornamental use of mirrors one of the glories of Versailles. Today the mirror is chosen not only by Maria Grazia Chiuri for the first haute couture from Dior signed to her to the Rodin Museum, but also by Karl Lagerfeld for Chanel that transforms the Grand Palais in a ballroom of the ’30s and even Alexis Mabille It arises at the end of the catwalk a mirror screen. Questa volta non parliamo di un trend legato a tessuti o forme o accessori. E’ l’allestimento ad essere protagonista ed a seguire un denominatore comune: gli specchi. L’idea di cristallizzare la realtà attraverso la sua riflessione da sempre ha attratto l’immaginario di artisti e scrittori da Lewis Carrol ad Escher. Luigi XIV inoltre aveva fatto dell’utilizzo ornamentale degli specchi uno dei vanti della reggia di Versailles. Oggi lo specchio viene scelto non solo da Maria Grazia Chiuri per la prima haute couture da lei  per Dior siglata al Museo Rodin, ma anche da Karl Lagerfeld che trasforma per Chanel il Grand Palais in una sala da ballo degli anni ’30 ed anche Alexis Mabille pone alla fine della passerella un paravento di specchi. Che sia un’omaggio a Zygmunt Bauman rendere fluida e a-dimensionale anche la più frivola delle realtà.
