Why we have to follow Christian Dada
-CHRISTIAN DADA designer Masanori Morikawa mixes Eastern and Dadaism aesthetics in his AW17 “BLUE” collection. This season the collection takes inspiration from the color blue which symbolises in Japan the wild, rebellious, destructive feelings of being a teenager personified with t-shirt illustrations by London designer Charles Anastase.
-Japanese traditional summer clothing Jimbei is proposed in leather, tartan motifs are printed on sheepskin to pay hommage to the schoolboy looks seen through the Japanese prism of precise craftsmanship and Wabi-Sabi philosophy.
-Music references play throughout the collection like amp handbags and headphone jack detailing on cord belts, shoe laces and preppy loafer tassels.
- Evolving from last season’s show, the CHRISTIAN DADA womens collections features deconstructed tartan kilt skirts and cropped sheepskin jackets.
