CHUTE LIBRE – Arthur Avellano SS18 men’s collection show

Saturday, June 24th, 7:30 pm, in a gymnasium in the rue de Trévise, Paris. We are waiting for the first show of the young designer, Arthur Avellano.

No talent waiting less the number of years. At only 25, Arthur Avellano has already won the prize of the Best Graduate collection organized by the Who’sNext in 2015, thanks to his end of studies collection. In 2016 he created his eponym brand, unique by the preponderant use of the latex, a provocative and impertinent material. In search of an irreproachable quality, Arthur Avellano collaborated with specialized laboratories to develop his own hybrid latex.

For this first show named CHUTE LIBRE, the creator was inspired by the movie of Joël Schumacher with this man breaking up with false pretenses. It is a real reflection in the pressure of the social mask raging in our current world. To retranscribe this point of no return in the absurd, Arthur Avellano chose to work materials associated with the fetishism such the latex, the leather or still the spandex.

He associates this daring textiles with the male classic wardrobe pieces. An attractive contrast between these daring and unexpected materials for basic tailoring and the sportswear clothes. Trench coats, bomber jackets, sweatshirt, pants and also ties were proposed in a new version in latex.

A promising first show for this young creator whom it will be necessary to follow with attention …

Samedi 24 juin, 19h30, dans un gymnase de la rue Trévise, nous voilà réunis pour assister au premier défilé du jeune créateur Arthur Avellano.

Le talent n’attendant moins le nombre des années, à 25 ans, Arthur Avellano a déjà remporté le prix de la Best Graduate collection du salon Who’s Next avec sa collection de fin d’études en 2015 et a été invité à différentes FashionWeek.

En 2016 il lance sa marque éponyme, unique par l’utilisation prépondérante du latex, matière provocante et insolente. A la recherche d’une qualité irréprochable, Arthur Avellano a collaboré avec des laboratoires spécialisés pour mettre au moins un latex hybride qui lui est propre.

Pour ce premier défilé SS18 nommé CHUTE LIBRE, le créateur s’est inspiré du film de Joël Schumacher et de cet homme rompant avec les faux-semblant. C’est une véritable réflexion à la pression du masque social faisant rage dans notre monde actuel. Afin de retranscrire ce point de non retour face à l’absurde, Arthur Avellano a choisi de travailler des matières associées au fétichisme tel le latex, le cuir ou encore le spandex qu’il associe aux pièces du vestiaire classique masculin. Un joli contraste entre ces matières osées et inattendues pour des basiques du tayloring et du sportswear. Trench coat, bomber, sweatshirt, pantalon et même cravate ont été proposés en version latex.

Un départ prometteur pour ce jeune créateur qu’il faudra suivre avec attention…
