Its defining feature is the balance wheel set with 54 brilliant-cut white diamonds—a first in modern watchmaking. Engineered without compromising chronometric precision, the balance wheel oscillates at 3 Hz while the flying tourbillon completes one full rotation every 60 seconds. The interplay of movement and light creates a captivating luminous halo that constantly changes.
The 42 mm case, crafted from 18K white gold, is adorned with invisibly set baguette-cut sapphires in delicate pastel shades and white diamonds. Green, blue, lavender and pink alternate in a composition inspired by Arlecchino and his iconic geometric costume. Rather than blending into one another, the colours form a carefully ordered and harmonious pattern through contrast.

The timepiece is powered by the new self-winding Jacob & Co. JCFA02 calibre, featuring a flying tourbillon, micro-rotor and a 72-hour power reserve. The sapphire crystal caseback also reveals the movement’s bridges, decorated with 234 brilliant-cut white diamonds.
Created as a unique piece and priced at USD 693,000, the Brilliant Flying Tourbillon Baguette Pastel Arlequino embodies Jacob & Co.’s “Inspired by the Impossible” philosophy, transforming one of a watch’s most delicate components into a display of light, colour and precision.
