From September 5 to October 31, 2026, Shanghai’s Power Station of Art will host a new edition of Bvlgari Kaleidos: Colors, Cultures and Crafts, an exhibition dedicated to color as a universal language and a meeting point between jewelry, art and different cultures.

Conceived especially for its Chinese edition, the exhibition brings together over 300 colorful creations, including High Jewelry masterpieces, pieces from the Bvlgari Heritage Collection and jewels from prestigious private collections. The journey is further enriched by immersive installations from Chinese contemporary artists Liang Manqi and Zhang Ding.

The exhibition unfolds across three thematic sections. The Science of Colors explores the principles of color perception and the combinations of precious gemstones that have shaped the Maison’s distinctive style. Color Symbolism examines the cultural and philosophical meanings of color, bringing Western traditions into dialogue with the Chinese system of the Five Elements. Finally, The Power of Light reveals the role of light in transforming gemstones and metals into vibrant surfaces filled with reflections and transparencies.

Among the exhibition’s highlights is a 1973 sautoir, presented to the public for the first time. Crafted in gold with coral, onyx and diamonds, it is adorned with a carved jade medallion that embodies the dialogue between East and West. Alongside it, necklaces, bracelets, brooches and earrings trace the evolution of Bvlgari’s bold exploration of color from the twentieth century to the present day.

Created with the contribution of renowned architecture studio SANAA and Italian design studio Formafantasma, the exhibition design transforms the journey into an immersive experience in which light, materials, art and jewelry continuously interact.

Following its previous international editions, Bvlgari Kaleidos finds in Shanghai a new setting for dialogue between Italian creativity and Chinese cultural heritage, celebrating color as a powerful means of connection, expression and continuous reinvention.
