Haute horlogerie and environmental commitment come together in the new Chronographe Fondation Prince Albert II de Monaco, a unique piece unveiled on 7 September at the Riva Aquarama Lounge of the Yacht Club de Monaco by François-Paul Journe and H.S.H. Prince Albert II of Monaco.

After exploring various interpretations of the chronograph complication, from split-seconds and flyback models to the Centigraphe, François-Paul Journe has created a classically constructed chronograph for the first time. This debut carries a clear charitable purpose: supporting the projects of the Prince Albert II of Monaco Foundation.

The watch is housed in a 42 mm two-tone case combining platinum with 18KK 6N Gold, used for the caseband, crown and pushers. The caseback is engraved with the words “Fondation Albert II – 2026”, underscoring the unique nature of the creation.

At the heart of the design is a burgundy lacquered dial featuring numerals inspired by ancient Chinese oracle bone inscriptions. The timepiece is powered by Calibre 1518..3, a hand-wound movement crafted in 18K rose Gold.

F.P. Journe has supported the Prince Albert II of Monaco Foundation since 2018. Established in 2006, the organisation works to protect the environment and promote sustainable development, focusing its efforts on combating climate change, encouraging renewable energy, preserving biodiversity and managing water resources.

The chronograph will be auctioned in partnership with Phillips on 25 November 2026, during the “Voyage Extraordinaire” gala dinner at Raffles Sentosa Singapore, held to mark the Foundation’s 20th anniversary. All proceeds will go towards supporting its environmental initiatives.
