Venice once again became the setting where cinema, elegance and creativity converge. On September 4, in the timeless surroundings of the Gritti Palace, Cartier celebrated the launch of the Cartier Cinema Club with an exclusive dinner also dedicated to the tenth anniversary of La La Land, the film directed by Damien Chazelle that captivated international audiences and critics in 2016.
The event renewed the Maison’s deep connection with the seventh art, transforming one of the most enchanting residences overlooking the Grand Canal into the stage for an evening suspended between cinematic memory and contemporary glamour.

Among the guests, Amal Clooney wore a necklace and ring from the Cartier Geometry & Contrasts collection, defined by the graphic interplay of chrysoprase, coral, onyx and diamonds. Orlando Bloom, meanwhile, chose a diamond-set Juste un Clou tie pin and a LOVE Unlimited bracelet in white gold.

Oscar-winning director Chloé Zhao also showcased some of the Maison’s most iconic creations, wearing a Clash de Cartier necklace in onyx and diamonds and a Trinity ring in three types of gold. Emma Corrin brought Cartier’s unmistakable feline to the fore with Panthère de Cartier earrings and bracelet in white gold, onyx, emeralds and diamonds.
Kate Mara paired a Juste un Clou ear cuff with a Grain de Café bracelet and a Panthère de Cartier ring. The panther also took center stage in Taylor Russell’s look, with white-gold earrings and a ring featuring emeralds, onyx and diamonds.
The luminous elegance of the Reflection de Cartier collection accompanied Karlie Kloss, who wore a coordinated necklace, earrings, bracelet and ring in white gold and diamonds. Director Damien Chazelle, the ideal protagonist of the celebration, wore a Cartier Crash Skeleton watch in platinum with a manual-winding movement.

The evening was also attended by Barbara Pravi and Stefan Crépon, completing an international guest list that reflected the many facets of contemporary cinema.
With the Cartier Cinema Club, the Maison opens a new space for exchange dedicated to film culture and its leading figures. Venice was chosen as the setting for its inauguration, offering a tribute to a film that, ten years after its release, continues to remind us of cinema’s ability to transform dreams into images destined to endure.
