From 19 to 21 June, the road connecting Castell’Arquato and Vernasca became an exceptional open-air stage for around 200 historic competition cars. More than a simple parade, the event unfolded as a story of style, memory and motoring culture, where every bodywork line, livery and mechanical detail evoked the charm of an era in which the automobile was also a true expression of aesthetics.
For its 30th edition, Vernasca Silver Flag chose a particularly evocative theme: the sponsors and liveries that, between the late 1950s and the 1970s, helped define the visual identity of motor racing. Colours, graphic signs and instantly recognisable designs transformed racing cars into moving icons, shaping an imagery that still feels contemporary today.
Within this setting, Eberhard & Co. reaffirmed its deep connection with the world of historic motoring, a universe that reflects the Maison’s own values: precision, technical elegance, attention to detail and respect for tradition. Among the most notable appearances was the 1950 Alfa Romeo 6C 2500 S Freccia d’Oro owned by Corrado Lopresto, Brand Ambassador of Eberhard & Co. A car with a remarkable past, it took part in the 1950 Carrera Panamericana and remains today a symbol of beauty preserved through a sensitive, conservative restoration approach.
Alongside this exceptional model, the event featured highly collectible cars such as the Ferrari 166 MM, Ferrari 212 Export E and Ferrari 857 S, as well as a special focus on Alfa Romeo’s sporting heritage, with rare and iconic examples including the celebrated Tubolare Zagato models. The event also paid tribute to Sandro Munari through a selection of cars that retraced his career and his strong connection with Lancia and the golden age of international rallying.
At the close of the event, Eberhard & Co. celebrated excellence in historic motorsport by awarding its timepieces to Marco Berti, winner of “Best of Show Pre-War” with a 1936 Maserati 6 CM; Emanuele Tiozzo, winner of “Best of Show Post-War” with a 1957 Alfa Romeo Giulietta SV Michelotti; and Andrea Sculco, winner of the special category “Sponsors of Speed” with a 1986 March 86 G.
A celebration of time, therefore, not only as a chronometric measure, but as memory, style and continuity. At Vernasca Silver Flag 2026, Eberhard & Co. once again expressed its universe: one of timeless elegance, in constant dialogue with speed, history and the enduring allure of great four-wheeled icons.
