Bvlgari Bvlgari returns to the light, elegance and sensuality of the Italian summer with two new 33 mm creations that reinterpret one of the Maison’s most recognisable watch collections through a distinctly feminine lens.
Available in two refined colourways — an evanescent pink and a captivating green — the new models are defined by hand-inlaid mother-of-pearl dials, conceived as miniature works of art. Radiant and delicate, they bring a new sense of softness to a watch whose identity has always been rooted in bold Roman character.
First conceived in 1975 by Gianni Bulgari as an exclusive gift for the most important clients of the historic Rue du Rhône boutique in Geneva, Bvlgari Roma marked a pivotal moment in the Maison’s dialogue between jewellery, watchmaking and fashion. Reinterpreted by Gérald Genta in 1977 and renamed Bvlgari Bvlgari, the watch soon became an icon, embodying the dual spirit of the house: the audacity of a Roman jeweller and the precision of Swiss horology.
Its most recognisable signature remains the double logo engraved on the bezel, a graphic gesture inspired by ancient Roman coins and monumental Latin inscriptions. More than a decorative code, it is a statement of identity — one that turns the Maison’s name into architecture, symbol and style.
At the centre of these two new creations lies the dial. Each one is crafted from around 400 tiny mother-of-pearl elements, meticulously arranged by hand to create an iridescent surface inspired by the ancient Roman art of polychrome mosaic. Transposed into watchmaking scale, this ancestral technique transforms the dial into a precious fresco of light, enhanced by twelve diamond hour markers.
The pink mother-of-pearl version is paired with a rose gold bezel, while the green dial is framed by yellow gold. In both models, the polished and satin-brushed steel bracelet introduces a contemporary balance, allowing the warmth of gold and the brilliance of mother-of-pearl to meet with effortless refinement.
With these new Bvlgari Bvlgari watches, the Maison once again draws from its Roman heritage while speaking to a modern idea of femininity: discreet, luminous, elegant and never predictable.
