Miu Miu continues its exploration of circular fashion with Miu Miu Upcycled 2026, the latest chapter in a project dedicated to giving new life to vintage garments, archival fabrics and pieces already shaped by time.
For 2026, the journey begins with two essential wardrobe archetypes: the white cotton shirt and khaki cotton drill chinos. Simple only at first glance, these pieces become blank canvases for a collection that merges function and refinement, ease and sophistication — contrasts that sit at the heart of the Miu Miu universe.
Each garment is sourced from vintage specialists around the world before being carefully taken apart, cleaned and restored. Buttons, zips and fastenings are removed, allowing Miu Miu’s pattern cutters to reinterpret the materials through new silhouettes and unexpected constructions.
The result is a collection built around the art of assemblage. Vintage trousers are transformed into oversized jackets, cropped bustiers and skirts, while shirts become dresses, apron tops and pieces tied at the sides. Sleeves are slashed, pockets are patched, and ribbons, bows, aged leather collars, embroidery and crystal flower details bring a delicate tension between the utilitarian and the decorative.
Accessories follow the same process of reinvention. Khaki pouches and backpacks are printed, jewelled and finished with leather trims, while chino sneakers echo the same materials, completed with carefully selected laces and charms.
With Miu Miu Upcycled 2026, the house renews its commitment to circular design and to a fashion culture that values memory, craftsmanship and transformation. Since its launch in 2020, the project has reworked antique dresses, denim and leather through limited-edition capsules and special collaborations. Now, once again, garments once worn and loved are given the chance to continue their story in a new form.
