Prada inaugurates a new boutique in Taormina, on Corso Umberto, in the heart of the city’s historic centre. Spanning approximately 300 square metres across two levels, the space presents the brand’s leather goods, accessories, ready-to-wear and footwear collections.

The interior concept reinterprets some of Prada’s most distinctive design codes. These include the black-and-white chequered marble floor, inspired by the brand’s historic store in Milan’s Galleria Vittorio Emanuele II, and pastel green walls that offer a contemporary take on the slatted motif. A display system composed of wooden surfaces and drawer units helps define an elegant, essential and instantly recognisable environment.

The ground floor, dedicated to the women’s offering, features wooden furnishings that interact with display counters, Verde Alpi marble tables originally designed by BBPR, and coffee tables by Gio Ponti. Wooden and wicker seating, together with light-toned rugs, complete the setting, creating a refined and welcoming atmosphere.

A wooden staircase leads to the lower level, accompanied by a display wall made of timber elements that echo the visual language of the floor above. This area continues the presentation of accessories, including scarves, hats and jewellery, completing the women’s retail journey.

The lower level houses the men’s area, characterised by natural-toned mat flooring, crystal and wooden counters and tables, and Gio Ponti chairs with light-coloured cushions.

With this new opening, Prada strengthens its presence in Sicily, choosing Taormina — an international destination with a unique historic and Mediterranean charm, as the setting for a retail experience that brings together heritage, design and contemporary identity.
