Dior unveils a new chapter in Japan with the opening of the House of Dior Shinsaibashi, an immersive destination located in the vibrant heart of Osaka. Conceived as a tribute to the enduring ties between the Maison and Japanese culture, the new address offers a refined journey through the world of Dior, blending heritage, contemporary elegance and exceptional savoir-faire.

The building’s striking façade, designed by Japanese architect Sou Fujimoto, is a technical masterpiece. Its undulating forms evoke the fluidity of drapery and the layered fabrics of Christian Dior’s couture creations, transforming the exterior into a poetic homage to the art of haute couture. By day, natural light creates a delicate play of shadows; by night, the illuminated structure reveals its rich textures and sculptural movement.

Inside, architect Peter Marino has imagined a luminous “realm of dreams” unfolding across four floors and more than 1,475 square metres. A monumental staircase, enhanced by a central work by Alice Aycock, guides visitors through the Maison’s different universes: women’s accessories, shoes, leather goods, fragrances from La Collection Privée, jewellery, ready-to-wear collections and Dior Men creations. Timeless Dior codes, including Versailles parquet flooring, enrich the space with a sense of refined classicism.
The House of Dior Shinsaibashi is also an artistic destination. Carefully selected works by Peter Marino echo Christian Dior’s close relationship with the artists of his time, with pieces ranging from Christian Bérard and Claude Lalanne to Tim Hailand and Jennifer Steinkamp. Floral compositions by Azuma Makoto reinterpret the Japanese art of ikebana, subtly reflecting Monsieur Dior’s lifelong passion for nature and botany.

On the top floor, the experience continues with the Monsieur Dior Restaurant by Anne-Sophie Pic. The world’s most Michelin-starred female chef has created a poetic menu that brings together French haute cuisine and Japanese ingredients, reinterpreting Dior’s emblematic codes, from cannage to the oval and leopard print. Creations such as La Toile Blanche, L’Œuf Dior, Les Berlingots and Le Millefeuille Blanc express a couture approach to gastronomy, where textures, flavours and memories create a refined sensory dialogue.
Between fashion, architecture, art and culinary excellence, the House of Dior Shinsaibashi stands as a new emblem of the Dior dream: a journey from Paris to Osaka, where tradition and modernity meet in a uniquely elegant experience.
