Bvlgari strengthens its commitment to contemporary art with a major dual presence at the 61st International Art Exhibition – La Biennale di Venezia 2026: the exhibition debut of Fondazione Bvlgari at the Biblioteca Nazionale Marciana and the launch of the Roman Maison’s role as Exclusive Partner of Biennale Arte for the next three editions, through 2030.

From May 9 to November 22, 2026, Fondazione Bvlgari will present an exhibition bringing together two of the most significant voices in contemporary Italian art: Lara Favaretto and Monia Ben Hamouda.
Hosted in the monumental spaces of the Marciana Library — a historic symbol of the preservation and transmission of knowledge — the exhibition features two site-specific interventions conceived in dialogue with the institution’s architectural and cultural legacy. Monia Ben Hamouda opens the exhibition with Fragments of Fire Worship, an installation composed of neon sculptures that transform writing into an enigmatic and ritualistic gesture, exploring the relationship between language, memory, and cultural identity. In the Sansovino Hall, Lara Favaretto presents Momentary Monument – The Library, the final chapter of her long-term project investigating the book and the library as living organisms and critical infrastructures of knowledge. Through a selection of volumes sourced from institutions, academies, and private collections, the work reflects on preservation, digitization, and the circulation of knowledge in the contemporary era.

“It is a true honor for Bvlgari to begin this curatorial journey with the first exhibition officially promoted by Fondazione Bvlgari in a place that stands as a universal symbol of memory and the transmission of knowledge,” said Jean-Christophe Babin, reaffirming the Foundation’s commitment to supporting contemporary artistic research and intercultural dialogue.
At the same time, Bvlgari inaugurates its role as Exclusive Partner of Biennale Arte with a project dedicated to Canadian artist Lotus L. Kang, presented at the Bvlgari Pavilion in the Esedra Space of the Giardini. For Biennale Arte 2026, curated by Koyo Kouoh, Kang will create a site-specific installation exploring memory, transformation, and temporality through a practice that merges sculpture, photography, and organic materials in constant evolution.

Bvlgari’s participation in the Biennale reflects a broader cultural vision that combines the preservation of artistic heritage with the support of contemporary creativity. Recent initiatives supported by the Maison include the restoration of the Scala d’Oro at Palazzo Ducale in Venice, conservation projects at the Baths of Caracalla in Rome, and the ongoing collaboration with MAXXI through the MAXXI Bvlgari Prize.
“Being Exclusive Partner for the next three editions of Biennale Arte represents a renewed and concrete commitment to supporting art as a form of dialogue, innovation, and the pursuit of a universal language capable of transmitting beauty,” commented Laura Burdese.
