With Summer Series, JW Anderson introduces a summer capsule that brings together graphic impact, lightness and a strong focus on craft. The collection is built around a precise idea of summer: intense, bright and fleeting, yet shaped through refined techniques, archival references and handmade details.

At the heart of the proposal is a floral print selected from the archive of Dale Hope, known for his work preserving Hawaiian aloha shirts and their illustrated motifs. The pattern, titled “Panini o ka Punahou”, depicts a cactus flower that blooms at night during the summer months, opening at dusk and wilting at dawn. This image becomes the visual symbol of the capsule, appearing across both men’s and women’s pieces, from a revere-collar shirt and matching shorts to an off-shoulder dress.
The ready-to-wear offering alternates open silhouettes, soft draping and vivid colours. Eveningwear is designed to feel light and wearable while retaining a sophisticated construction. Knitwear also plays a central role: transparent hand-crocheted dresses reference snowdrops, a flower associated with Ireland and the arrival of warmer months, while nautical stripes, compact bouclé jacquard and breathable half-zip knits complete a summer wardrobe that feels essential yet considered.

The collection also plays with vintage imagery. Graphics and characters drawn from archival ephemera are carefully screen-printed onto garments, while gold and silver stars, inspired by nostalgic sticker books, decorate surfaces with a playful, ironic touch.
Accessories and footwear continue the same direction. Leaf Slide sandals in leather, detailed with leaf-like veining, appear alongside woven sandals and pumps in contrasting colours. Among the key new pieces is the Bulb Bag, a soft, sculptural silhouette proposed in both a beaded version and a hand-crocheted raffia style. The signature Loafer Bag is reinterpreted with a handwoven construction inspired by basketry.

Completing the capsule is a series of seasonal leather and crochet charms: fruit, vegetables, flowers and small creatures become decorative objects to attach to bags. These include lemon, persimmon, broccoli, rhubarb, bluebells, snowdrops and a chameleon charm offered as a retail exclusive.
Photographed by Tanya and Zhenya Posternak, with actor Milo Callaghan and models Bruna Souza and Mauria Caetano, JW Anderson Summer Series presents a graphic and tactile vision of summer, where every element — from print to crochet, from woven bags to charms — contributes to a free, artisanal and contemporary idea of style.
