For Salone del Mobile 2026, JW Anderson unveils an exclusive Basket Bag created in collaboration with Eddie Glew, the English sculptor and master basketmaker. The project brings together fashion, design, and heritage craftsmanship, placing the spotlight on handmade excellence and traditional techniques passed down through generations.

For the Autumn/Winter 2026 collection, Glew created three standout pieces — the Blanket Basket, Log Basket, and Laundry Basket — each handcrafted in England using the finest British willow. Their silhouettes draw inspiration from medieval chests, while vegetable-tanned leather in rich chocolate tones adds a refined contemporary finish.

During the Salone, the artisan will also stage a live demonstration at the JW Anderson boutique in Via Sant’Andrea 16, Milan. Using traditional tools and working entirely by hand, Glew will carve wooden flowers to be gifted to guests, each presented in protective packaging and accompanied by an informational postcard.

The gesture carries a deeply symbolic meaning: these flowers were among the first objects Glew learned to make from his father, and they are rooted in Romani tradition, where flowers were carved from hedgerow wood using only a pocket knife. It is a story of memory, manual skill, and generational continuity — one that JW Anderson brings to the heart of Milan Design Week.
