Coinciding with the 61st International Art Exhibition of La Biennale di Venezia, One Touch of Nature Makes the Whole World Kin opens to the public from 23 April to 23 May 2026. Curated by School for Curatorial Studies Venice, the project brings together contemporary art, education and public engagement in an unusual and compelling venue: the P. F. Calvi middle school in Castello, temporarily transformed into an exhibition space open to the city.
Developed in collaboration with the Academy of Fine Arts of Venice and the Dante Alighieri Comprehensive Institute, the exhibition explores knowledge as a shared ecosystem shaped by relationships, exchanges and layered forms of learning. Alongside works by students from the Academy of Fine Arts of Venice, selected through an open call, the public programme features workshops, talks and installations with internationally recognised artists and collectives including Tino Sehgal, Cesare Pietroiusti, Taring Padi, Bionic and the Wires, and Anna Titova. During the Biennale’s opening week, the project will also host the performance series We Travel To Know Our Own Geography, curated by KUBORAUM Editions. The opening will take place on 23 April from 4 pm to 7 pm, and all activities are free of charge.
