Arnold & Son expands its Ultrathin Tourbillon collection with a new limited edition that places contrast at the heart of its design. The new Ultrathin Tourbillon Onyx comes in 5N red gold or platinum, with each version issued in a strictly limited run of eight pieces.

The standout feature is the black onyx dial, chosen for its rich, deep tone and refined, mysterious character. Arnold & Son also introduces an unusual watchmaking first: onyx finished with a matt satin texture, creating a subtle interplay between polished and textured surfaces while drawing even more attention to the flying tourbillon at 6 o’clock.

Housed in a 41.5 mm case with soft, slim lines, the watch combines visual elegance with serious horological substance. Powering it is the in-house A&S8300 manual-winding calibre, measuring just 2.97 mm thick and ranking among the thinnest movements in its category. Visible through the sapphire crystal caseback, the movement features refined finishes including Côtes de Genève, chamfering, blued screws and hand-engraved details.

Arnold & Son has also upgraded the movement with a variable-inertia balance and further refinements to the regulating system and tourbillon cage. These developments increase the power reserve to 100 hours, an impressive figure for such an ultra-thin haute horlogerie timepiece. An alligator leather strap with folding clasp completes the watch.

With this release, Arnold & Son brings together its historical legacy, expertise in ornamental stone craftsmanship and a contemporary vision of understated luxury, turning the intense black of onyx into the defining element of a highly sophisticated watch.
