CHANEL unveils a new international chapter of its cultural initiative led by le19M. From September 25 to November 15, 2026, the Museum of Art Pudong will host La Galerie du 19M Shanghai, a public program dedicated to the preservation and evolution of the Métiers d’art.

Curated by la Galerie du 19M, the project celebrates artisanal savoir-faire through an immersive exhibition that creates a dialogue between French craftsmanship and China’s dynamic contemporary creative scene. Occupying the entire third floor of the museum, the exhibition will showcase the techniques and tools of le19M’s Maisons d’art alongside a group exhibition featuring Chinese and French artists and designers.

A key highlight is a retrospective dedicated to the historic Lesage House, tracing a century of embroidery and textile innovation closely tied to CHANEL’s creative legacy.

The program will also include talks, workshops, and educational activities designed for a wide audience. As emphasized by Bruno Pavlovsky, the initiative aims to position craftsmanship as “a universal creative language” that connects cultures, generations, and disciplines.
