In the world of haute horlogerie, innovation often comes through new materials. But rarely does a brand introduce something quite as extraordinary as a substance forged in the cosmos. With the Purity Moissanite Curvy Tourbillon, ArtyA does exactly that—bringing moissanite into the spotlight.
A material from beyond Earth
The story begins in 1893, when French physicist Henri Moissan identified this silicon carbide within a meteorite crater. Since then, moissanite has fascinated scientists and gem specialists alike for its exceptional properties: almost as hard as diamond, yet with even greater brilliance thanks to its superior light dispersion.
ArtyA harnesses these qualities to create a case that does more than house a movement—it enhances it. Every motion of the wrist produces shifting rainbow reflections, turning the watch into a living, luminous sculpture.

A technical challenge like no other
Machining moissanite is a formidable feat. With a melting point exceeding 2,700°C and extreme structural resistance, it demands entirely new processes and expertise. Under the creative and technical direction of Stanislas Arpa, ArtyA has developed proprietary methods, positioning itself as the only watchmaker capable of shaping this material at such a level.
The result is a curved tonneau case defined by fluid lines and 65 facets. Its polished surfaces create subtle optical distortions, giving the illusion that the movement floats within a crystalline gem.
Beyond timekeeping
Limited to just nine pieces, the Purity Moissanite Curvy Tourbillon is not merely a watch—it is a statement. A fusion of science, craftsmanship, and artistic expression that captures and refracts light in a way few objects can.
