Presented at the Carrousel du Louvre in Paris, the ISSEY MIYAKE Autumn/Winter 2026–27 collection, titled Creating, Allowing, explores the balance between intentional design and allowing materials to naturally shape themselves on the body.
The runway featured a scenography of silver sand spread across the floor, gradually transformed by the models’ footsteps throughout the show. The collection includes series such as ALLOW, where a single piece of fabric forms a three-dimensional silhouette when worn, and WRING PLEATS, characterized by hand-twisted pleats that create a dynamic sense of movement.

Highlights also include URUSHI BODY, bustier pieces crafted from washi paper finished with traditional Japanese lacquer, and the CAMPER × ISSEY MIYAKE collaboration introducing the Anna shoe, designed like a sock that wraps the foot.
The collection reflects a vision where design, material, and the human body interact in a delicate balance between control and creative freedom.
