Swiss watch manufacture F.P.Journe reinforced its ties with the international art world by supporting the second edition of MAZE/Art St. Moritz, held from 26 February to 1 March 2026 at the historic Hotel Reine Victoria in the Engadin.

The fair, dedicated to modern and contemporary art, collectible design, photography, and antiques, took place just one week after Art Gstaad, another key event on the winter art calendar in which the brand also participated. Through its partnership, F.P.Journe continues its collaboration with the MAZE constellation of art fairs, known for its curated and intimate format.

Set within the Belle Époque interiors of the Hotel Reine Victoria—an 1875 landmark near the lake and ski lifts—the fair occupied the entire ground floor of the building. Painted ceilings, ornate stucco, antique chandeliers and original mirrors provided a refined historical backdrop for the event.

Around 30 international galleries, selected for their curatorial rigor, took part in the fair. Among them were Bernier Eliades, Friedman Benda, Matteo Lampertico ML Fine Art, Mazzoleni, von Bartha, Waddington Custot, Mennour, Thomsen, and Jean-David Cahn.

Visitors encountered a range of significant works spanning the 20th century and beyond. Highlights included pieces by Carla Accardi, Alighiero Boetti, Alberto Burri, Lucio Fontana, and Marc Chagall, alongside iconic design works by Andrea Branzi, Ettore Sottsass, and the Campana Brothers. A rare historical painting—Winter Landscape with Skaters by Hendrick Avercamp—was also presented by the gallery De Jonckheere.

The choice of St. Moritz as host reflects the resort’s longstanding reputation as a hub for experimentation and cultural exchange. From legendary venues like the Dracula Club to the adrenaline-fuelled Cresta Run, the Alpine destination has cultivated a spirit of independence and avant-garde creativity.

By aligning itself with MAZE/Art St. Moritz, F.P.Journe further underscores its commitment to supporting artistic dialogue and cross-disciplinary creation—values that mirror the brand’s own philosophy of craftsmanship and innovation.
