Bremont introduces a bold new limited edition that merges serious aviation engineering with one of pop culture’s most recognizable icons. The British watchmaker has partnered with Universal Products & Experiences to launch the Altitude MB Meteor “Felix the Cat,” a collaboration that celebrates both military flight heritage and the mischievous spirit of the legendary cartoon character.

Long associated with U.S. Navy aviation squadrons, most notably VFA-31 “Tomcatters,” Felix the Cat has served for generations as a symbol of luck, courage and camaraderie in the skies. Bremont draws on that legacy for its “Watch Your Six” campaign, referencing fighter-pilot clock-position terminology and reinforcing the character’s deep-rooted aviation connection.

The new edition is based on the recently updated Altitude MB Meteor, itself an evolution of Bremont’s renowned MB series—watches engineered to withstand the punishing testing procedures of Martin-Baker aircraft ejection seats. Since its founding in 2002, Bremont has built its reputation on creating highly capable tool watches trusted by military personnel, pilots and adventurers worldwide.

Housed in a 42mm Grade 2 titanium Trip-Tick case, the watch is rendered entirely in stealth-black DLC for a dramatic, tactical aesthetic. A knurled PVD titanium barrel and matching knurled crowns reinforce the robust character of the design, while the bi-directional inner Roto-Click bezel is operated via the signature 4 o’clock crown.

On the dial, Felix the Cat appears playfully at six o’clock, depicted running away with the number 6. Applied numerals and indexes are filled with white Super-LumiNova® emitting blue light for optimal readability. Bright yellow accents on the minute track and the distinctive looped “ejection seat” pull handle at the tip of the seconds hand add visual contrast, referencing flight-safety detailing and the original MBI model.

Powering the timepiece is Bremont’s BB14-AH automatic movement, built on a Le Joux Perret calibre. Operating at 28,800 vibrations per hour and offering a 68-hour power reserve, the 24-jewel movement is suspended within a flexible rubber mount for shock absorption and shielded by a soft-iron ring to protect against magnetic interference. An open caseback reveals Felix-inspired decoration and a gunmetal grey rotor finished with Geneva Stripes.

The watch features an anti-reflective sapphire crystal and is water resistant to 100 metres. It is offered on either a quick-release black DLC titanium bracelet or a textured black leather strap with box-stitch detailing.

Limited to 500 pieces worldwide, the Altitude MB Meteor “Felix the Cat” combines playful character with professional-grade engineering, reinforcing Bremont’s ability to balance heritage, performance and distinctive design within a contemporary tool watch.
