From Metro City to the Swiss Jura, Louis Erard unveils its first cultural crossover: Louis Erard x Astro Boy. A collaboration that bridges traditional Swiss craftsmanship with one of Japan’s most beloved icons, created by manga legend Osamu Tezuka.
More than a nostalgic tribute, Astro Boy stands as a symbol of empathy, coexistence, and hope — values that resonate deeply in today’s world and align with Louis Erard’s vision of meaningful design.
“The 2340 takes flight with a childhood hero,” says Manuel Emch, CEO and Creative Director. “Astro Boy is more than a character — he’s an emotional and cultural reference. This is just the beginning of a creative journey exploring the icons that shaped our generation.”
Limited to 178 pieces, this special edition builds on the new 2340 collection, Louis Erard’s first integrated-bracelet line. The titanium and steel case (just 8.95 mm thick) frames a multi-layered dial where Astro Boy bursts into motion, soaring over a vertically brushed Metro City backdrop. Each element — from Astro Boy himself to the shadowed villain behind him — is sculpted in volume, created in partnership with Tezuka Productions using original artwork.
