Interpreted in the distinctive style of some of the greatest names in 21st-century cinema, the annual campaigns dedicated to the Prada Galleria bag have become an opportunity for exploration and exploration.

Hollywood star Scarlett Johansson, who previously starred in Jonathan Glazer’s 2024 short film, returns for a new campaign that entrusts Yorgos Lanthimos and his singular cinematic universe with the task of redefining, through moving images, the character of the Galleria bag and that of the actress, in her first collaboration with the director.

What emerges is a sort of microcosm of a feature film, a prototype or model that reflects Lanthimos’s signature narrative complexity and surrealism, in which the plot of a larger story remains implicit. We see Scarlett Johansson perform complex and mysterious rituals, unusual actions in archetypal settings of modern life, and in the process become multitudes, displaying countless versions of herself, renewing and transforming herself over and over again.

Everything revolves around the Prada Galleria: the totem, the talisman, the amulet essential to the ritual and the daily representation of life itself, the instrument of a wondrous metamorphosis. Reflecting the iridescent nature of this accessory, constantly changing and reinvented season after season, the film explores the concept of the fluidity of personality, starting with the actress and then shifting the lens to Prada.
