Always fascinated by the vitality of nature, Van Cleef & Arpels embellishes its garden with two new collections: Flowerlace and Fleurs d’Hawaï. The Maison unveils unprecedented jewelry and watchmaking creations that, through vibrant compositions, reflect the grace of flowers and demonstrate Van Cleef & Arpels’ expertise in gemstone selection and savoir-faire. This source of inspiration, which has nourished Van Cleef & Arpels’ creativity since its inception, has been expressed over the decades through a wide variety of forms, highlighting the Maison’s mastery of High Jewelry.
Since its inception, the Maison has transposed the grace of flowers into jewelry and watchmaking creations, cultivating a highly distinctive style. Its archives reference, for example, a Marguerite brooch from 1907. The Maison continues to draw on this source of inspiration, interpreting it through a myriad of styles that reflect the evolution of its taste over the years. Through small flowers or bouquets, stylized or figurative interpretations, and historical or contemporary creations, crafted using a wide range of gems and savoir-faire, the Maison’s dreamlike garden is bursting with life.

The Flowerlace collection delicately depicts the silhouette of an openwork corolla, combining the luminosity of yellow gold with the brilliance of diamonds, expressing the vitality of nature so dear to the Maison. As if kissed by the sun’s rays, the petals shine intensely, while the lines that outline the elegantly rounded shape of the flower evoke the fluidity of a ribbon, recalling another emblematic source of inspiration for Van Cleef & Arpels: fashion.

Five creations blossom in this new collection: a ring, a Between the Finger ring, a pair of earrings, a pendant necklace, and a pendant brooch that, affirming Van Cleef & Arpels’s penchant for transformable jewelry, can be worn two different ways. The creation of these creations is the result of the combined skills of the Maison’s artisans. Using the ancient technique of lost-wax casting, the shapes of the motif’s elements are first molded in wax so that, once melted, the precious metal takes on the shape of the imprint left by the melted wax. The gold elements are hand-finished by the master goldsmith, then set with gems and finally polished.
The Fleurs d’Hawaï collection draws inspiration from the hues of a vibrant garden, offering a palette of vibrant colors. Like newly bloomed flowers, the jewelry and watches combine precious stone petals, diamond pistils, and gold leaves to create luminous creations with generously proportioned corollas, evoking lush, sun-kissed nature.
With this new collection, Van Cleef & Arpels reaffirms its predilection for colored precious stones, a longstanding protagonist of High Jewelry creations. The Maison has selected five varieties of gemstones to embellish the earrings, rings, pendant necklaces, and watches of the Fleurs d’Hawaï collection: citrine, which gives the creations a joyful yellow-orange light; amethyst, captivating with its purple hues; and the intense pink of rhodolite, which creates an elegant contrast with the diamonds. Finally, aquamarine stands out for its crystalline brilliance, while the spring green of peridot radiates with vitality. The gems, selected by the gemological department according to the Maison’s criteria of excellence and taste, interact with the luminosity of rose, yellow, or white gold, enhancing its color.
