In the continuity of its century-long support for cinema and the transmission of great works to a wide audience, CHANEL is proud to be supporting the Festival Cinéma Paradiso Louvre that will take place from 2nd to 5th July 2025. Open-air screenings and a musical programme (performances and DJ sets) will showcase a selection of films inspired by the theme of ‘Fashion & Cinema’.

This free and open-to-all event co-produced by mk2 and the Louvre museum – two institutions renowned for their major role in promoting the arts – notably celebrates the restored version of House ambassador Sofia Coppola’s Virgin Suicides (2000). Presented at the opening night on July 2nd, in the presence of the filmmaker, this film traces the tormented destiny of the five Lisbon sisters, whose white and floral dresses accentuate their apparent innocence. A carefree wardrobe that has made a lasting impression on Sofia Coppola’s filmography.

Today the House of CHANEL works alongside actors, directors, costume designers, productions and festivals, helping restore cinematic masterpieces, supporting major institutions and entrusting the making of its own collection films to renowned filmmakers. Resulting from a passion for cinema that began in the 1930s with Gabrielle Chanel herself, this unique relationship with creativity is pursued across all the CHANEL Fashion activities.
