An ongoing exploration of global culture through music: the latest chapter of The Sound of Prada – presented by Prada Eyewear – took place in Berlin on May 28, 2025, with the participation of a trio of international talents.

On Kurfürstendamm in the Charlottenburg district, the beating heart of the city’s social and cultural scene since the 19th century, the historic Kranzler Eck café was the stage for the performance of the award-winning American singer, actress and producer Janelle Monáe, a multifaceted artist and founder of her own record label Wondaland Arts Society, dedicated to the promotion of new and original musical talents. For the event, Monáe performed a DJ set under her alter ego, DJ Johnny Jane. The event also featured DJs Christian AB, known for his electronic experimentation, and Channel Tres, who closed the evening with an original mix of techno, house and West Coast rap, reflecting the rich cultural contamination of the Berlin music scene.

The Sound of Prada, a traveling program that opens a new window on Prada’s intrinsic connection with culture, was inaugurated in Paris in 2019 and then landed in London (2021), Cannes (2022) and Seoul (2024). For each edition, a location significant to the host city was chosen, capable of acting as a sounding board for the event’s message. With a well-established reputation for its dynamic and avant-garde music scene, which continues to influence today’s productions, Berlin was the natural landing place for this latest iteration: an event where music met contemporary culture and also design, with an installation dedicated to the Prada Symbole sunglasses collection.

Guests at The Sound of Prada Berlin included Kit Connor, Wolfram Eckert, Ncuti Gatwa, Prada Ambassador Benedetta Porcaroli, Prada Ambassador Troye Sivan, Clemens Schick, Lilith Stangenberg, Langston Uibel, Lisa Vicari.
