In this sculpted space, time transcends traditional hands. No longer does it point; instead, it flows. Three rotating rings emerge, each carrying a distinct gradation of time: the hours on the largest, the minutes on the middle, and the seconds on the smallest.
Rising 10.2 mm in height, the hours, minutes, and seconds are supported by an aerial, suspended architecture. A perfect balance. Each ring presents a technical challenge. A titanium frame, hollowed and polished, cradles an inner, curved and satin-finished ring. Constructed from titanium-aluminum-vanadium, this assembly demands extreme precision.
Light yet difficult to shape, delicate to polish, it reveals an exceptional finish once perfected. Nine columns ensure the stability of the perpetually rotating rings, while a minimalist pointer enables immediate time reading. At the top, a sapphire dome—crafted by flame fusion in Japan, smoothed and polished in Switzerland—offers unparalleled clarity and resistance.
For the first time, the dial opens to reveal the intricate motor assembly, comprising 196 bespoke components, allowing one to savor the horological artistry of an exceptional caliber. These editions are powered by the X-Centric caliber, an automatic movement exclusively designed and developed by Trilobe. Integrated within the X-Centric caliber, the 6.49 mm thick micro-rotor movement blends finesse and technical performance. Completely reimagined for the *Une Folle Journée* collection, the X-Centric caliber takes form around multi-tiered bridges and plates, their sharp edges meticulously polished by hand or with diamond tools, accentuating the microblasted treatment on their surfaces.
