A visual interpretation of a collection inspired by people’s lives, the Miu Miu Autumn/Winter 2024 campaign draws on the wardrobe vocabulary, moving between childhood and maturity, masculine and feminine, formal and informal. A fresco of the mutual influence that exists between clothes and those who wear them.
The portrait series, created by photographer Zoë Ghertner, features a multidisciplinary cast featuring Ethel Cain, Charlotte Cardin, Cara Delevingne, MINNIE, Little Simz and Caitlin Soetendal. A fashion story, with its contrasting facets, sensibilities and proportions, which at the same time emphasizes a sense of desirability and power.
A white background and a geometric patterned carpet, a selection of refined chairs. These destabilizing elements echo the fusion of time, place, memory, function and fashion that characterizes the collection. A shiny shearling coat worn over a shirt dress or cropped trucker jacket and skinny jeans; a minimal tailored suit with leather gloves and an elegant string of pearls; a soft, oversized fleece jacket with a flannel pencil skirt; a little black dress, unstructured, with pointed Mary-Jane pumps; a sporty down jacket paired with a tailored suit.
Overturning the preconceptions of the nightwear wardrobe, Miu Miu pajamas in cotton poplin are designed for the day. These contrasting combinations are also underlined by the accessories: the men’s shoes that contrast with the New Balance the Adventure bag with its timeless elegance and the irreverent Joie bag, both archive models reinterpreted in soft shiny nappa with golden metal finishes and adjustable shoulder strap.
Gestures, poses and style are natural expressions of their personalities and individuality. The garments enhance this expressiveness, facilitating the subtle changes in emotion and behavior that transform the wearer.
