La nuova collezione di Alta Gioielleria e Alta Orologeria dal titolo “Secrets & Lights – A Mythical Journey by Piaget” celebra i misteriosi e affascinanti effetti di luce che nascono da un tempo invisibile, vale a dire il grande numero di ore dedicato a tutte queste creazioni e che fa da eco alla lunga storia della Via della Seta. La nuova collezione, che trae ispirazione da due città leggendarie come Venezia e Samarcanda, brilla di una radiosità e di una vivacità creativa senza precedenti. Scelti per la loro ricchezza culturale e per “l’arte del vivere” che li contraddistingue, ambedue i luoghi offrono un ampio spazio di espressione agli atelier della Manifattura e agli eccezionali maestri artigiani che a queste creazioni hanno voluto donare la propria arte.

La magia dell’Oriente inizia a Samarcanda, nome che significa “Regina della Terra”. Appoggiata sulla piana di Zarafshan (la cui traduzione dal persiano è “dispensatore d’oro”), questa leggendaria città è stata l’ispirazione delle incantevoli creazioni “Lights of Samarkand” che racchiudono i vibranti colori del Registan e del cielo tempestato di stelle sulle infinite distese del deserto. Queste creazioni, in cui le gemme più pure e rare sono utilizzate come splendide pietre centrali, esprimono l’essenza stessa dell’Alta Gioielleria. Sottolineate dalla più inattesa artigianalità artistica, come l’utilizzo della lacca con frammenti di gusci d’uovo, delle incisioni a bulino o dei micro-mosaici, le creazioni orologiere sono capaci di catturare la maestosità dell’architettura e di raffigurare gli animali che popolano il deserto.

Venezia, La Serenissima, è una gemma della cultura circondata dall’acqua ed è l’ispirazione di una
collezione colma di misteriosa magia cui è stato dato il nome di “Secrets of Venice”. Sottolineati da piume, smalti e incisioni, i segnatempo della collezione evocano gli splendori architettonici della Torre dell’Orologio – restaurata da Piaget nel 1999 – del Ponte dei Sospiri, della Basilica di  Santa Maria e dell’emblema stesso della città, il Leone Alato.

Le creazioni di Alta Gioielleria sono autentiche opere d’arte, sia quando rappresentano la magnificenza dei festeggiamenti della città lagunare sia quando riflettono sottili giochi di luce.

Questa straordinaria collezione, che comprende 93 creazioni di gioielleria e 38 segnatempo, regala un’espressione trascendentale alla libertà creativa della Maison.

Entitled “Secrets & Lights – A Mythical Journey by Piaget”, the new Piaget Haute Joaillerie and Haute Horlogerie collection celebrates the mysterious and captivating light effects born of an invisible time: namely the countless hours devoted to each creation and echoing the long history of the Silk Route. The new collection inspired by two legendary cities, Venice and Samarkand, shines with unprecedented radiance and creative vibrancy. Chosen for its cultural wealth and its fascinating art of living, each place provides a remarkable field of expression for the workshops of the Manufacture as well as the exceptional artisans associated with these creations showcasing the artistic crafts.

The magic of the Orient begins in Samarkand, “queen of the Earth”. Nestled on the plain of Zarafshan, whose Persian name means “supplier of gold”, the historical city inspires the enchanting “Lights of Samarkand” creation. It reveals the vibrant colours of the Registan and the infinite expanses of the desert with its star-studded skies. In their honour, the rarest gems and the purest gems express the essence of Haute Joaillerie through splendid central stones. Exalted by the most unexpected Artistic Crafts, such as eggshell-inlaid lacquer, bulino engraving or micro- mosaic, these horological creations capture the majesty of the architecture and the desert animals.

La Serenissima is a priceless cultural gem perched on water that inspires a collection imbued with a mysterious magic: “Secrets of Venice”. Magnified by virtuoso exponents of feather art, enamelling, micro-mosaic and engraving, these timepieces evoke the architectural splendours of
the Clock Tower, restored by Piaget in 1999, the Bridge of Sighs, St. Mary’s Basilica and the city’s emblematic lion. Whether bringing to life the magnificence of Venetian festivities or reflecting subtle plays on light, these Haute Joaillerie creations become authentic works of art.
