8CUFF FW 2015 Collection    

Suh Sue (la designer di 8CUFF) ha scelto la graphic novel “Watchmen” come faro guida per districarsi nella sua nuova collezione, perchè Watchmen è unica per come descrive gli antieroi. “Penso che il bene e il male inevitabilmente coesistano nelle nostre vite. Ho scelto di interpretare i miei pensieri e i miei punti di vista su questo concetto nel creare le mie stampe”. La sua tecnica è parlare di materie e argomenti che riguardano la società in cui viviamo attraverso una ricerca fatta di immagini trovate mescolate ai suoi stessi dipinti e creazioni.

La collezione gioca sulle forme simmetriche per dare vita a una linea Sport Lux Street, particolare enfasi sull’uso di materiali misti fra cui neoprene, pelle e tessuti tecnici. Le giacche utilizzano una particolare nuova tecnologie che permette di “reggere” i volumi spesso esagerati dei capi intorno al corpo di chi li indossa.

Chose the graphic novel “Watchmen” to explore her collection. Watchmen is unique within the genre for portrayal of antiheroes.  “I believe that the good and the bad inevitably coexist in our lives. I interpreted my thoughts and views on this matter in the design of the graphic prints”. Suh creates uncompromising visuals from found images and her own paintings on the subject corruption.

Structured symmetrical shapes form the Sport Lux Street wear collection, with emphases on strong features including the usage of neoprene, leather and techno textiles, in jackets that utilize innovative construction technique so that they hold their own exaggerated proportions around and above the body.
