Miu Miu SS 2015 
Tre video raccontano con un concentrato di poetica tensione cinematografica la nuova campagna spring summer 2015 di Miu Miu, catturata magicamente da Steven Meisel.
Ritraendo Mia Goth, Imogen Poots e Marine Vacth in una serie di quadri cinematografici, le immagini, come spiate attraverso lo spiraglio di una porta, pongono lo spettatore al centro di una storia multi-dimensionale dove si alternano varie stanze.
La giovane Mia Goth posa giocosamente su un letto dalle lenzuola bianche, intercettando lo sguardo dello spettatore e attirandolo a sé.
La seducente Imogen Poots emana un atteggiamento ribelle, mentre la luce dorata proveniente da una finestra getta ombre misteriose sul suo volto sicuro.
L’elegante Marine Vacth, uno dei talenti più sorprendenti del cinema francese, siede contemplativa e serena in un salotto indossando un cappotto rosa scuro. La borsa posata ai suoi piedi crea il dubbio se sia appena arrivata o se stia lasciando la scena.
Questi quadri cinematografici sono carichi di un senso di tensione, una storia intrecciata al limite del dénouement, mentre scorriamo le storie di queste donne e la collezione attraverso avvincenti momenti in sequenza.
I dettagli del set – carte da parati antiche, mobili in legno scuro, un letto disfatto – creano un senso di casa. Riportano alla mente il contrasto tra tessuti storici e innovativi e reinterpretazioni di icone della collezione: il cappottino vestaglia, il cardigan, la gonna a tubo, abitini pigiama e camicette con rouches tagliate a mezza vita. Mules con fiocchi, sandali con zeppa, occhiali con applicazioni in strass e borse in morbida pelle completano la storia.
Ogni scena è un incontro dettato dal caso, indipendente ma collegato, con un filo che unisce teatralmente le storie delle protagoniste. Ciascuna attrice interpreta un ruolo, e osservandole meglio vediamo la collezione come forza narrativa della storia e il vero potere della moda come comunicatore di nuove ideologie e idee.

Cinematic storytelling and the interconnected narratives of three fearless and beautiful actresses empowers Steven Meisel’s latest campaign for Miu Miu.
Staring Mia Goth, Imogen Poots and Marine Vacth in a series of cinematic tableaux, the images, glimpsed as if through doorways, place the viewer at the heart of a multi-dimensional, multi-room story.
Youthful Mia Goth is playfully perched on crisp white bed sheets, locking eyes with the viewer she beckons us toward her. Seductive Imogen Poots radiates a rebellious attitude, golden light from a window cascading mysterious shadows across her confident face. Elegant Marine Vacth, one of France’s most striking acting talents, is contemplative and serene in a drawing room wearing a dusk-rose coat, the bag placed at her feet leaving us unsure if she is arriving or leaving the scene.
These cinematic tableaux are filled with a sense of tension, an entwined narrative on the edge of dénouement, as we view these women’s stories and the collection through a series of captivating, interrupted moments.
The sets details – antique wallpapers, dark wood furniture, an unmade bed – create a sense of home. They call to mind the clash of historical and innovative fabrics and re-imagined icons of the collection: the housecoat, the cardigan, the tube skirt, pajama suits and ruffled blouses slashed to the mid-drift. Bowed mules, large platforms, glitter-framed glasses and supple leather bags complete the story.
Each scene is a chance encounter, independent but linked, dramatically connecting the characters’ stories. Each actress plays a role, and looking in on them, we see the collection as the narrative force of the story, and the true power of fashion as a communicator of fresh ideas and ideologies.
