Ogni forma viene modificata e deformata dai nostri corpi e allo stesso tempo dai nostri ricordi. Mi piacciono i materiali che hanno tante vite e una STRUTTURA.

L’ispirazione.

Ne la moda, ne un trend, piuttosto: l’aggressività di un tessuto. Più che da designer talentuosi, mi emozionano gli artisti. Coloro che sono capaci di “deformare” la forma, rinnovandola. Come Alberto Burri. Le sue “increspature” possono al tempo essere o il terreno divorato dal sole, l’atterraggio su un pianeta, iceberg alla deriva o un labirinto.
Soprattutto: sono un opera senza tempo, un frammento di vasellame di migliaia di anni fa, un luogo del futuro. Vestiti senza tempo, creazioni in movimento: ecco quello che voglio fare. Dare la direzione al tessuto. Prendete ad esempio Antonio Gaudì. Per la Sagrada Familia ha preso ispirazione dalle magnifiche cattedrali gotiche, ma è allo stesso tempo appare come un castello di sabbia e fango costruito da un bambino sulla spiaggia. L’immortale fantasia che da alla luce ciò che è sacro. Ecco perché amo i giardini aztechi di Roberto Burle Marx e gli abiti scultura di Roberto Capucci.
È possibile allora che il destino dell’uomo sia quello di definire ciò che è fragile e trasformare l’evanescente in eterno?

Un tessuto Speciale.

Mi piacciono le forme pure che riescono a descrivere l’indescrivibile. Dall’altro lato, anche Dante – parlando di Dio – lo identifica in tre cerchi di tre colori differenti che si riflettono e si intersecano continuamente. Una forma astratta e ferma che si modifica continuamente senza fermarsi mai. L’attrazione verso questo tipo di forme e la spinta a disegnarle mi ha spinto a creare dei vestiti. Che cos’è l’arte? Una borsa di iuta, la terra, il mare, il ghiaccio, cristalli di neve.
Estrarre una forma vive da un tessuto senza vita (inanimato): ecco come gli abiti, un costume atavico degli uomini, sono nati. Un tessuto che ho scelto per questa collezione è, non a caso, “tweedy” un tessuto che contiene fibre derivate dalle bottiglie di pet riciclate.

Il mio tipo di donna.

Non un “angelo della casa e del cuore” e nemmeno “un’arrampicatrice sociale”. Vivere un vestito significa essere in grado di oltrepassare la soglia di una cattedrale. Essere orgogliosi di bestemmiare e pregare. Una donna che può incontrare la Madonna a viso aperto, e umilmente essere al centro dell’attenzione. Mia nonna è il simbolo dell’eleganza assoluta. Non parlo mai di moda. Solo di eleganza e gusto.

Alice Tamburini Milano è un giovane brand italiano che è stato lanciato a Milano nel 2013. Alice Tamburini è un’esperta architetto e designer, appassionata della struttura e della forma, esplora questi concetti all’interno della moda. È affascinata dal modo in cui il tessuto è lavorato, cucito, stratificato per creare differenti forme e texture, ed è questo che l’ha ispirata a lanciare il suo brand. Il concept gira intorno all’idea della manipolazione dei materiali. La designer sperimenta con le stratificazioni, le pieghe e i nodi per creare effetti volumi. Utilizza le stampe per costruire delle configurazioni geometriche.

Each form is deformed by our bodies, and by our memories as well. I like a material which has several lives and a has several lives and a STRUCTURE.

Inspiration.

Neither fashion, nor trend, rather: aggressiveness of fabric. Rather than by talented designers, I am thrilled by artists. Those who are able to deform the form, reviving it. Like Alberto Burri. Most of all: they are a timeless work, a thousand year old potsherd, a land of the future. Timeless clothes, works in motion: that’s what I want to do. To give direction to the fabric. Take Antonio Gaudi. For the Sagrada Familia referring to magnificent gothic cathedrals, is also a castle of sand and mud built by a child on the beach. The perennial fantasy which gives birth to the sacred. That’s why I love the Aztecan Gardens by Roberto Burle Marx and Roberto Capucci’s sculptural dresses.

Could it be that a man’s destiny is to define the fragile and turn the transient into the eternal?

Special fabric.

I love pure shapes that are suitable for describing the undescribable. On the other hand, Dante, too, referring to God, identifies him in three similar circles of different colours that reflect and cross each other continuously. An abstract and steady shape that is changing without a stop. Attraction to these shapes and inclination to draw them prompted me to create clothes. What’s art? A jute bag, the ground, the sea, the ice, crystals of snow.

Extracting a living shape from a lifeless fabric: that’s how clothes, a man’s original habitat, are born. One fabric I chose for this collection is, not unintentionally, tweedy, a fabric containing recycled pet bottle polyesther fibers.

What kind of woman.

I expect Neither an ‘angel of hearth and home’, nor a ‘social climber’. Living a dress means being able to cross the threshold of a cathedral. Being proud of swearing and imploring. A woman who can meet with the Madonna face to face, and humbly be the centre of attention. My grandmother is the symbol of absolute elegance. I never talk fashion. Only elegance, taste.

Alice Tamburini Milano is a young Italian brand which was launched in 2013 in Milan. As a trained and qualitifed architect, designer Alice Tamburini is passionate about structure and form and explores these concepts in the fashion world. She is fascinated by the way fabric is worked, weaved and layererd to create different shapes and textures and this is what has inspired the designer to launch her own brand. The concept of the brand thus circulates around the idea of manipulating material. The designer experiments with layers, twists and knots to create voluminous effects. She also uses prints to build up geometric configurations.
