Louis Vuitton pays tribute to Rome with an exhibition that recounts, through the fascinating illustrations of the artist Miles Hyman for the Louis Vuitton Travel Book series, the monuments, the atmosphere and the daily life of the Eternal City. From October 5 to November 11 the Central Institute for Graphics, will host over 100 original drawings by Louis Vuitton, some specially made for the exhibition in Rome.

Hyman spent the days in the city with his eyes turned towards the Roman sky, focused on an architectural detail, on a face, a door of Trastevere or on the dome of a church in Piazza Navona, with the aim of depicting Rome for the Louis Vuitton necklace book of the same name Travel Book: Rome by Miles Hyman. The result was a real invitation to the real and virtual journey, enriched by intellectual stimuli and intense moments, which gives readers an unprecedented vision of the city.

Rome responds to Hyman’s approach by offering his own beauty without filters, becoming energetic and dynamic, charged with a fleeting beauty, joyful, full of poetic elements in his everyday life.

” The Roman palette inspires me so much!” Says Miles Hyman. “His light, first of all, but also his special colors, have gradually come upon me: the facades, with their shades of ocher, golden yellow, blue and turquoise, not to mention the wide range of reds , one richer than the other ». Brilliant and deep colors that influence the artist in an unmistakable way. “Rome is part of those cities that demand time in their company before they can capture its charm. But beware: when you love them, when you understand them and perceive their so unique soul, then it is a real love at first sight, a passionate and eternal love ».

Louis Vuitton rende omaggio a Roma con una mostra che racconta, attraverso le affascinanti illustrazioni dell’artista Miles Hyman per la collana Travel Book Louis Vuitton, i monumenti, l’atmosfera e la vita quotidiana della Città Eterna. Dal 5 ottobre all’11 novembre l’Istituto Centrale per la Grafica, ospiterà oltre 100 disegni originali da Louis Vuitton, alcuni appositamente realizzati per la mostra a Roma.

Hyman ha trascorso i giorni in città con gli occhi rivolti verso il cielo romano, puntati su un dettaglio architettonico, su un viso, un portone di Trastevere o sulla cupola di una chiesa di piazza Navona, con l’obbiettivo di raffigurare Roma per l’omonimo libro della collana Louis Vuitton Travel Book: Rome by Miles Hyman. Ne è scaturito un vero e proprio invito al viaggio reale e virtuale, arricchito da stimoli intellettivi e momenti intensi, che regala ai lettori una visione inedita della città.

Roma risponde all’approccio di Hyman offrendo la propria bellezza senza filtri, diventando energica e dinamica, caricata di una fuggevole bellezza, gioiosa, ricca di elementi poetici nella sua vita di tutti i giorni.

«La tavolozza romana mi ispira tantissimo!» afferma Miles Hyman. «La sua luce, prima di tutto, ma anche i suoi colori speciali, hanno sortito un graduale incantesimo su di me: le facciate, con le loro sfumature di ocra, giallo oro, azzurro e turchese, per non parlare della vasta gamma di rossi, uno più ricco dell’altro». Colori brillanti e profondi che influenzano l’artista in modo inconfondibile. «Roma fa parte di quelle città che esigono tempo in loro compagnia prima di poterne captare il fascino.
