Inside JW Anderson fw19 Backstage

Like last year, the appointment is marked and the environment is absolutely familiar. The imagery of Jonathan Anderson is transformed into a physical place, his artistic inspirations in scenography as in the case of the works of Martin Belou and Graham Wilson. The ’80s crossed the ocean and arrived here too in the heart of London Fashion Week, however, filtered by a specific selection made by the designer. The donuts are the emblem, but other tracks appear in the fluorescent sneakers.

But it is the reinterpretation of the Pierce bag to attract our attention, the interlaced effect and the restyling of the piercing give it a decidedly different ’80 feature.

As always is gorgeous the complementary use of the same fabric with different processes.

The most playful effect is certainly concentrated on the men’s collection rather than on the female one, as for the wool tie that comes out of the sweater and as for the donuts key ring. Definitely interesting and new are the belts that turn into a fanny pack and the nuanced use of colors in an irresistible composition of Victorian Sunrise.

Come l’anno scorso l’appuntamento è scandito e l’ambiente è assolutamente familiare. L’immaginario di Jonathan Anderson si trasforma in luogo fisico, le sue ispirazioni artistiche in scenografia come nel caso delle opere di Martin Belou e Graham Wilson. Gli ’80 hanno attraversato l’oceano e sono arrivati anche qui nel pieno della London Fashion Week filtrati però da una selezione specifica fatta dal designer. I donut ne sono l’emblema, ma altre tracce compaiono nelle sneakers fluo. E’ però la rivisitazione della Pierce bag ad attrarre la nostra attenzione, l’effetto intreccio e il restyling del piercing le donano una caratteristica differente decisamente ’80. Interessante come sempre è l’uso complementare dello stesso tessuto con lavorazioni differenti. L’effetto maggiormente ludico è sicuramente concentrato sulla collezione maschile più che su quella femminile, come per la cravatta in lana che esce dal maglione e come per i portachiavi donuts. Decisamente interessanti e nuove sono le belt che si trasformano in marsupio e l’uso sfumato dei colori in un irresistibile composizione di alba vittoriana.
